What political impact this invitation for a ceasefire brings to the world in long term

Presenter: Good evening, Valeriy Viktorovich!
Valeriy Pyakin: Good evening!
Presenter: Good evening, dear viewers, radio listeners, and guests in the studio! Today is January 9, 2023. People ask you to comment on Putin’s instructions to the Russian Federation Armed Forces:
“Upon consideration of the address from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, I instruct the Defense Minister of the Russian Federation to introduce a cessation of hostilities along the entire line of contact in Ukraine from 12.00 on January 6, 2023 to 24.00 on January 7, 2023.
As a large number of Orthodox Christians reside in the area of hostilities, we call on the Ukrainian side to declare a cessation of fire to allow them to attend church services on Christmas Eve as well as on Christmas Day.”

Valeriy Pyakin: The instruction did, in fact, cause mixed feelings in the public: “A ceasefire! How so? We are moving down a one-way street again; we want to please the West.”
It must be said without beating about the bush: No matter how good we are or how hard we try to please the West, we will never be good enough to please them. The West has declared war on us because they want to fully destroy us. The Ukrainian project was initiated a thousand years ago. In light of this, it is useless to keep hoping that someone in the West will change their minds and stop destroying Russia. But many of our so-called “former Russians” have emigrated to the West. What did they run into there? They cursed Russia, but after getting a slap in the face there, they are still not accepted in the West since they are still from Russia and are still Russians there. They only have the chance to earn a positive attitude (although a conditional one) from their Western master when they are helpful in destroying Russia. They are attempting it right now. For their service, they are rewarded by not being punished harshly, and they consider their lives to be successful. They obediently serve their master, just like all of these Kasparovs and the like.
Therefore, to put it mildly, it is generally foolish to react to the actions of the Russian gosudar in that manner. Putin has never done anything stupid, taken any shallow actions, or made any shallow decisions. There is a profound and significant purpose behind every action and decision. The only remaining question is whether or not this purpose is achieved in the daily state government operations. The Minsk agreements offered a great opportunity to avoid bloodshed and peacefully solve the problem of the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine, but the entire so-called patriotic community and the entire Russian state apparatus, adhering to the decisions of Washington as its superior “central committee” hung on Putin’s arms and legs like heavy weights and purposefully prevented the Minsk Agreement’s implementation, which has led to this bloody massacre.
So when I heard of Putin’s decision, I wondered right away if it had a chance of being fully implemented or if someone would try to impede it so that Russia would not enjoy the political benefits of this cessation of hostilities. However, Russia has made a serious political breakthrough.
